Terms of service
Bikren is an independent wholesaler. We are not Birkenstock GmbH, we are not part of the Birkenstock group, and this is not the official Birkenstock online shop. Style names such as Arizona, Boston, Gizeh, Madrid, Mayari, Milano, Florida, Ramses, Zurich, Zermatt, Naples and Birko-Flor are used only to identify goods. They are trade marks of their owners.
These terms cover use of the Bikren website and any order you place with us. They are written for Shopify’s terms-of-service policy and for customers in the United Kingdom. Paste this page into Bikren’s Shopify admin before the store takes payment. Have a solicitor confirm the bracketed company details. This page is not legal advice.

We publish this information for the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and, where you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Online store terms
By visiting the site or placing an order you agree to these terms, the refund policy, the shipping policy and the privacy policy. When checkout is connected, payment is taken by Shopify Checkout. We do not store full card numbers on this storefront. Shopify’s own terms apply to the checkout service.
If you use the site, you confirm that you are at least 18, or that a parent or guardian agrees on your behalf. Wholesale accounts are for businesses only.
Consumers and trade customers
You are a consumer if you are an individual buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession. You are a trade customer if you buy for your business, including as an independent wholesaler or retailer.
Nothing in these terms reduces rights that the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give a consumer, or any other right that the law says we cannot exclude. Those rights do not apply to trade customers in the same way. Trade customers are covered by these terms and by the Sale of Goods Act 1979, except where a written trade agreement says otherwise and the law allows that.
General conditions
We may refuse any order, close a wholesale account, or withdraw a listing. A product page with inventory of zero is not an offer to sell. Out-of-stock lines, including Birkenstock styles we have not received, cannot be added to an order and will not be dispatched.
We reserve the right to limit quantities. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted. Prices, descriptions and stock can change without notice until we email an order confirmation.
Accuracy, completeness and timeliness of information
We take care with product details, but colours on a screen can differ from the pair in the box, and guide prices on out-of-stock styles are not a quotation. If a detail is wrong, contact us and we will correct the listing or refund a consumer where the law requires it.
Changes to the service and to prices
Prices are in pounds sterling. We may change a price at any time. The price charged is the price shown when you submit the order, plus delivery and any tax we are required to add, unless we spot an obvious pricing error and contact you before dispatch.
For goods sent from Germany to a UK consumer, UK VAT is generally accounted for at checkout when the consignment is £135 or under. Above £135, import VAT and any customs duty are dealt with as described in the shipping policy. Trade invoices follow the VAT treatment confirmed on the account. Confirm your VAT setup with your adviser before you publish prices in Shopify.
Products or services
In-stock footwear and care products are sold by us as principal. Third-party brand goods are sold only when we actually hold them. A listing does not mean we are an authorised dealer of that brand.
Some house styles are sold alongside brands we intend to wholesale. If a pair is faulty or not as described, a consumer’s rights are against us, not against the brand owner.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we email a dispatch confirmation, not when an automated acknowledgement arrives. We may reject an offer if the goods are out of stock, if we cannot verify a wholesale account, if payment fails, or if we believe the order was placed in error.
You must give a delivery address where someone can receive a parcel from Germany. You are responsible for the accuracy of that address.
Optional tools
Wish lists, size guides and the VIP page are tools. On this preview they stay in your browser. Once Shopify is connected, account and marketing tools are provided by Shopify or an app named at the point you switch them on. We are not liable for a third-party tool failing, except to a consumer where the law does not allow that limit.
Third-party links
Links to carriers, Shopify, or brand sites are provided for convenience. Their terms and privacy notices apply once you leave our site.
Comments and feedback
If you send us a review or other material, you confirm it is honest and that you have the right to send it. We may remove a review that we reasonably believe is fake, misleading or abusive. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 prohibits commissioning or publishing fake reviews, and we do not publish reviews for styles we have never sold.
Personal information
Our privacy policy explains how we use personal information. It forms part of these terms.
Errors, inaccuracies and omissions
We may correct an error, cancel an order placed at an obvious mistaken price, and issue a refund of any sum taken. We will tell you before we do that where we have your contact details.
Prohibited uses
- Using the site for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else’s trade marks or copyright.
- Scraping the catalogue, or uploading malware.
- Opening a wholesale account with false business details.
- Reselling a listing that we have marked out of stock, or presenting us as the official Birkenstock store.
- Harassing staff, or attempting to interfere with Shopify checkout.
Statutory rights, liability and warranties
For consumers, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund. After that you may be entitled to a repair or replacement, and then a price reduction or a final right to reject. You can usually bring a claim for up to six years after delivery in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and five years in Scotland.
Consumers who buy at a distance also have the 14-day cancellation right described in the refund policy.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that English law does not allow us to exclude. Subject to that, and subject to a consumer’s statutory rights, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to a trade customer for a claim about an order is limited to the price paid for the goods in that order.
Except for the statutory rights above, and any warranty printed on a product page, goods are sold without any further promise that they will meet a particular purpose you did not tell us about.
Indemnity
If you are a trade customer, you will cover us against losses we suffer because you broke these terms, misused a brand name, or gave us an unlawful instruction. This does not apply to consumers.
Severability
If a court finds that part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Where a term would be valid if it were narrower, it applies with that narrower reading.
Termination
These terms apply for as long as you use the site. Either of us may close a wholesale account by email. Clauses that should survive, including liability limits that the law allows, still apply to orders already made.
Entire agreement
These terms, the refund policy, the shipping policy and the privacy policy are the whole agreement for website orders, together with any written trade-account terms we email you. A salesperson’s comment does not change them unless we confirm it by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales hear disputes, except that a consumer who lives in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also use their local courts, and mandatory protections of their home law still apply. The site is directed at the United Kingdom. If a consumer lives in a country whose law says a mandatory right cannot be waived, that right still applies.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms by posting a new version on this page. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. This version is dated 23 October 2026.
